Media Working Group

Media 
The Media Working Group works to put Occupy Nanaimo into the Public eye. They work with local media outlets as well as solo to try and make sure that Occupy Nanaimo is still on the minds of people in the community. They have a wide range of responsibilities, which are:

  • Distributing all posters, pamphlets, banners, etc. that are provided by the Printing Working Group
  • Planning of generic Occupy entertainment events
  • Communicating/building a relationship with CHLY 101.7
  • Communicating with the mainstream media
  • Drafting and putting out Press Releases when required
  • Notifying the media of our events, protests, demonstrations, etc.
  • Content for “Live Stream” (to be provided to the Internet Working Group)
